Field Trips
There is no charge for educational groups attending the museum with their instructor and/or adult chaperones (1 chaperone for 10 students is recommended). Classes of all sizes and age groups are encouraged to tour the museum with or without a docent; parents chaperones and adult helpers are also admitted FREE! To arrange a field trip, contact the tours office by phone at 505 476-1140.


In the warm weather months, classes enjoy eating sack lunches outdoors on Milner Plaza. Groups and individuals are encouraged to recycle PLASTIC BOTTLES and ALUMINUM CANS - remove all liquids and lids and place in recycle containers on the plaza! Thank you!




Folk Art To Go!
The Folk Art to Go! program consists of a pre-museum visit packet, a 45 minute pre-museum visit by Outreach Educator includes an introduction to the Museum, hands-on objects, games and songs. At the museum, a 60 minute exhibition tour and 90 minute hands on art project, designed for two classes, a maximum of 50 students. The program begins in October and ends in May, Tuesday through Thursdays; Fridays reserved for small groups & special needs groups.
